1am restaurant and bar is housed in what used to be Pleasant Street Brasserie, just off Clifton Street, in Lytham. Although most recently the building was a furniture shop, it’s the ideal venue for a night out with spacious restaurant on the ground floor, a bar in the middle, and champagne and cocktail bar on the top floor (which is great for parties and functions).

Bare wood floors, exposed brick and bright lights make for a vivid, contemporary ambience. The food here is Mediterranean in style with a strong Italian bias. There are gourmet pizzas, hand-made pastas, Aberdeen Angus steaks, fresh fish specials and in general a menu that’s more ambitious than your traditional trattoria.

The food is brought to you by chef-patron Max, partner Antonio handles front-of-house. As the name suggests, 1am is open to the early hours – at least on a Friday and Saturday. And you don’t need to eat here to enjoy a drink at either bar. But the name 1am also makes reference to the potential for more venues as this is the first joint restaurant venture for friends Antonio and Max (1am – geddit?). Watch this space!
